God With Us
It’s Christmas eve and I think I am more excited that than the boys! They are busy having a blast rocking out with the Guitar Hero 3 that their Marga and Poppy gave them for Christmas. I am listening to Christmas carols simultaneously with the electronic rock and roll they are playing along with. It makes for a VERY Merry combination!
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" – which means "God with us." When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home to be his wife. But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus. – Matthew 1:22-25
Relationship thought number one– Do what the Lord commands Jesus came to live a perfect life, he came to die for our sin. He knows what is best for our lives. We must discover what he commands by knowing him through a daily relationship. When we are in relationship with others, it is important to us to know the likes and dislikes, fears, joy and favorites of the other person. As you deepen your relationship with Christ, you will discover or at least be reminded, that his favorite, is you.
My prayer to all of our incredible friends and truly amazing family is for you to experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.
You have all blessed us mightily.
Much love,
Audra
