On Purpose

Watercooler Wednesday (FreeRice.com)

Hey Everybody!Wcwlogo_2  It’s Watercooler Wednesday at Randy Elrod’s Ethos Blog, click the link for all things creative!

I’ve posted about this before, but there are still so many who need to play!

FreeRice.com is a free online vocabulary game that feeds starving people across the world.  For every answer you get correct, 20 grains of rice are donated.  All of you readers and writers improve your vocabulary and you make a difference in the lives of starving children.

The Free Rice website can be verified at www.snopes.com. The site has been most recently been featured in The NY Times and People magazine.

Click the bowl to begin making a difference.  Play early and play often.

  1. “Free Rice”. I thought this would be another protest over the Beijing Olympics.

  2. Another great site that helps children in need is AIDtoCHILDREN.com
AIDtoCHILDREN.com is a dual-purpose site for building an English vocabulary and raising money for under privileged children in the most impoverished places around the world.
    Check it out at http://www.AIDtoCHILDREN.com

  3. This is so great and very addictive. I want to keep going and going. I guess that is not a bad thing since more words = more rice.

  4. Thanks John – never heard of it, but now I know and it is just as great as Free Rice!
