2880 Minutes in Nashville

Pict0001 So in 22 days and 14 hours, I will be in Tennessee.  I get to "go home" for exactly 48 hours or 2880 minutes.

Have you ever gone home to a place where you’ve never lived?  I grew up in Colorado and then spent the last 11 years in Arizona.  I’ve never lived in Nashville, but every time I have been there, it’s as if I have returned home.  The smells, the sights, and most importantly; the music welcome me back to a place my heart longs for daily.

I know this is what heaven will be like.  I’ll be welcomed by the sights, the smells, the heavenly music and most importantly by Jesus, to the place my heart always longs for.  A place where I simply just fit in.  Somewhere I’ve never lived, but glimpsed in my son’s eyes a hundred times.

I’ll be going home to stay.

  1. I love the way you’ve phrased the idea of Heaven being our home!
And about Nashville, I’m actually going to be there (Nashville/Franklin) in a couple of weeks for Randy Elrod and Spence Smith’s LifeWork 2.0 conference. I think it’s going to be a great time! If you have any tips for the Nashville novice, be sure to send them my way… :o) Thanks!!!
