Good Writers Thursday Thirteen
Good writers are great readers. One can’t exist well, without the other. If you want a child to be a better writer, teach him to read. If you want someone to read better, teach them to write well. I have been blessed with teachers and people in my life who encouraged my writing and reading with their financial support, opportunities and sharing of great literature.

Looks like a lot of good books. If you haven’t read “If You Want to Walk on Water” by Ortberg, I’d suggest it. It is one of my personal favorites.
Certain Girls is on my “nightstand” as well.
I find I have little time to read these days, I spend a lot of time online reading, more informational stuff. I used to have a large book collection but after moving so much these last years, gave away the collection to friends who really wanted them. 🙂
I recently finished Certain Girls. It was not too bad. If you have not read any of Jennifer Weiner’s other books I would really suggest reading them; I think I enjoyed most of them a little more than this one. 🙂
I love to read, but I can’t seem to put the book down once I start. Bad me. Good diea for a TT though. May have to steal that one for next week!
The Starbucks book sounds interesting. 😉

these all look interesting and varied. I have that Yancey one on prayer which you have just reminded me of…..it should be good. Also the one about Starbucks looks like it could be interesting. i look forward to hearing your thoughts on these! 🙂

I also read The Maker’s Diet by Jordan Rubin. When my husband worked at Crown Financial Ministries, he heard Jordan Rubin speak and brought home the book. I noticed you also read Francine Rivers – love her books. Have you ever read Jane Kirkpatrick?
