On Purpose

Tackle it Tuesday

Cimg0795 So this was my office several weeks ago……

Cimg0820 And this is it today.  If you don’t see a difference, how about if you don’t tell me?  And no, the only difference isn’t the Starbucks drink.  I have filed many a paper and generally shifted several others around, out of sight.

So I did tackle part of my office this morning.  I’ve also been doing tons of writing and it definitely goes better when things are cleaner.  Focus on Your Child has purchased four articles from me to date, I’m hoping to post links  after they are published.

Last week our friend Keith left a comment here asking for a website for men, with tips for guys.  He said he’d really appreciate that. Keith confirmed something I have been praying about for several weeks now.  Thanks Keith and you can look forward to future posts addressing issues that affect men.  You should all know, that I believe this world is full of good men. The Marines may be looking for a few, but I’m blessed to know many.

Head over to 5 Minutes for Mom to see what everyone is tackling today!

  1. Way to go on all that filing! I worked as an office clerk for 3 years and I still HATE (hate) filing. 🙂
And congrats on getting published. Writing is something I have been mulling over recently. But I don’t think I could dedicate any time to it right now while I am still in school.

  2. what?!? no yummy description of the empty plastic cup from SB?? what yummyness did you enjoy? this girl wants to know. I (heart) sugary coffee drinks.

  3. Thanks Alexandra, you just keep on keepin on with that school work. Writing is there for you whenever you want it.
Okay Monica, I had the feeling I should have touched on the Starbucks a little more. Thanks for calling me on it! It’s an Iced Venti Chai tea latte with cinnamon powder on top!

  4. Way to go! I’m oohing and ahhing for you. I can see a difference…and everything is so much better w/ Starbucks. I heart Starbucks! 🙂

Also, congrats on the articles! I will be looking for the links.

  7. You have a great office with lots of shelving. Funny you should mention the Starbucks cup because it was the first thing I noticed 🙂 Thanks for visiting my blog.

  8. Your office looks great? LOL! I know that paper work doesn’t really effect much of the appearance sometimes. But great job! On the subject of men’s websites…my husband started a blog for men to hold them accountable but he gets discouraged because it doesn’t get much traffic. I’m not sure what he can do to boost it up. Do you have any ideas? Is there a blog land for men lol? His address is http://www.fatheringhearts.blogspot.com
I can’t wait to read your articles you wrote.
    Blessings,
    Kim

Don’t feel discouraged over my post. You should see my laundry room, lol!
And then look at my bedroom closet, *AND* the biggie. My garage. You can’t even “move” in there, lol!
I am slowly doing the deculttering thing, and I have been doing it for seven years. Since I have been married.
    Take heart my friend. 🙂

  20. Here’s a quote you’ll appreciate, but your office look wonderful. I’m a believer in the more creative you are, the more cluttered.
“If a cluttered desk is the sign of a cluttered mind, then what’s an empty desk the sign of?”
    Albert Einstein

  21. You know, it is so discouraging to me when I work all morning on something and no one else can tell I did a thing that same evening….and with five kids this happens more than I care to say! 😉
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment…oh, and about that, my clothes shelf is already a mess again. (hanging my head).

  22. Ok. I have to say I am little jealous. I would love to have an office and yours looks great. Take your time, a clutter never hurt anyone.
