The house that Built Him

Everyone has been loving Miranda Lambert's new song, The House that Built Me. I love it too, but am most interested in her Dad's perspective in this short video. His honesty is so raw and you can't help but respect him for his deep desire to lead and provide for his family.

I believe that most men are wired like Mr. Lambert and it's up to the rest of us to support, love and respect each other.

  1. Audra,
I too feel that raw emotion in his voice. You can just tell this really affected him, in a very deep way. I have a hard time imagining what that would truly be like, to be so stripped down to the basics. And – yet through it all, you just sense how this family pulled together…(and that’s pretty wonderful)

  2. What a humble, humble man. God is so good!! He is using her voice to bring them through. Wow!
Thank you for your warm blogaversary wishes. I know what you mean about the time thing. Guess my hubby just rocks themes that way… ha!
I wanted to further extend that invite to add something when I showcase your blog. You are welcome to write something, or just pop in and say hello.
The idea being, to give something back to each of you.
In closing, I know I have asked you this before, but wanted to be sure, do I have to have a yahoo account to do the Wild Card Tour? I so don’t want another account, so I may skip that one.
Just signed up to review for Tyndale. That’s a start.

  3. Hi Ginger!  Your husband does rock! I do believe you have to have a yahoo account to be a part of the Wild Card Tour. I didn't want anymore either, but it took two seconds to set up and requires no maintenance. Please go to FIRST wild card though to verify that I'm correct. I really like reviewing for that group because they provide the first chapter to post on your blog. I don't get that with some of the other review sites. I really do recommend them!
